Why NCLC 7 matters
For Express Entry, NCLC 7 or higher in all four French abilities earns additional points (25 or 50 depending on your English), and French-language category draws require at least NCLC 7 in all four abilities. In speaking and writing, NCLC 7 means a score of 10 or 11 out of 20. Sources: IRCC language test equivalencies, CRS criteria.
Coming later: a scored practice pass (CA$29 for 30 days) with new original prompts and an automatic NCLC estimate with feedback. Not available yet: no payment is possible today.
